Phoebe Little and Jas Scott, better known as SpaceAcre, made their debut as a group this year with a sound that in our opinion, has made them one of the most spectacular bands to drop music in 2020.
After dropping the video for their outstanding single ‘So I’ll Run On’, they now return with their latest tune ‘Way Over’. The song is taken from SpaceAcre’s forthcoming EP Overthrown, out September 11th. Continuing their flawless streak of power-hitting releases, ‘So I’ll Run On’ is a conclusion of sorts of a dead end relationship, musically executed with lush cello incorporation and blissful electronic production. Another brilliant record, SpaceAcre remains on the most exciting bands out today.
Touching on the track SpaceAcre mentioned:
“‘Way Over’ is about coercive control and getting over a relationship filled with mind games – it was cathartic to write. We feel like this track really solidified our sound in combining electronics with cello pizzicato loops. In particular it started our love affair with the Roland Paraphonic 505, which makes a sound that we like to call the “War Cry”.”
