Quiet Houses Unveil Their Dreamy Single ‘What My Heart Is For’

Releasing their Since July EP back in May of 2023, Edinburgh duo Quiet Houses return in 2024 with their new single ‘What My Heart Is For’. The track is out via LAB Records.

Produced by Jake Cartwright, ‘What My Heart Is For’ is a grand and atmospheric offering of dream pop and indie. An ode to those who are going after their dreams and goals despite the size, the song has a 90s sensibility to the song, whilst being fresh for the now. The messaging is a great way to kick off the new year with the music itself being the larger than life soundtrack to back it.

Regarding the single, Hannah Elliott of Quiet Houses wrote:

“This song was written in early April when we were living in Edinburgh just after we got back from tour and were feeling super inspired by life and music! I remember waking up at 7 in the morning to find Jamie already up writing a riff over this sick drum loop our producer and friend Jake had made. Being the control freak I am I had to get involved and I remember singing parts of the (now) riff from my bed with my eyes still closed half asleep. This song has a really, really special place in our hearts and is more intentional than anything we have released so far. It is exactly how we feel about who we are now, having big dreams and big hearts and diving head first into everything. It also has our favourite bridge we’ve written ever maybe. we can’t wait for you to hear it.”
