Preview Goth-Trad’s “Born To Know” & “Behind The Glass”

goth

In a nutshell, the genre of dubstep has gone from a scene within a small community in South London to slowly breaking ground in other countries to exploding into the global mainstream to then creating a divide between its core fans/producers and the new listenership, whose introduction to the scene was via an American producer who racked up multiple Grammys.

Goth-Trad was influential in the electronic and soundsystem scene of Japan with his Rebel Familia crew. In the mid 2000s he quickly became a fixture in dubstep with his blend of bass and abstract electronica, releasing multiple records on the Deep Medi label.

As one of key players in the scene, Goth-Trad has refused to watch the genre fall to the way side. His new single “Born To Know” bw “Behind The Glass” takes things back to roots of dubstep. The title track is a meditative blend of tech and low end while “Behind The Glass” journeys straight into the dark side with slow dragging and sharp stabbing, electric bass. We have a preview of the single pack below.
