Ufa is the capital of Bashkortostan, Russia. Whilst many people outside of the country probably couldn’t give you an accurate location of where it is situated, Ufa is the birthplace of award-winning conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivakov and also singer/musician Eleonora Zaripova better known as Eleonora. Relocating to Berlin as a teen, Zaripova cut her teeth in music experimenting with jazz and electronica.

Eleonora will release her new EP Thousand Thoughts on January 26, 2017 via Stem Records. Consisting of two original tracks entitled ‘Thousand Thoughts Away’ and ‘Seven Levels Of Heaven’, the record is a dark and haunting stroll through slow-burning electronica that takes a nod at early paths laid by groups such as Massive Attack and Portishead. There is also an ethereal techno remix by Sei A, as well as a future-forward broken-beat version by Will & Held. We have a preview of theh Thousand Thoughts EP which you can hear below.
