Poster Paints Unveil Their Moody Single ‘Not Sorry’

Dropping their EP Blood Orange back in May, Glasgow outfit Poster Paints (Carla J Easton of TeenCanteen and Simon Liddell of Frightened Rabbit and Olympic Swimmers) are now scheduled to release their debut self-titled album on October 14th via Ernest Jenning Record Co. / Olive Grove Records. Already giving fans a taste of what’s to come with their previous single ‘Circus Moving On’, the pair now bring forth their latest track ‘Not Sorry’.

‘Not Sorry’ is a moody slice of jangle pop that plays with an air of 80s nostalgia. The production swirls around the distinctive vocals of Carla J Easton’s, operating like an atmospheric soundscape that is utterly gorgeous. Below is a stream of ‘Not Sorry’.

Touching on the band itself, Carla J Easton stated:

“The project started as an accident before the pandemic kicked off. Si had sent me an instrumental for a piece he had scored for a short film and asked if I could put some vocals on it. I completely misunderstood what he was asking me to do and wrote an entire song to the piece of music and emailed it back to him. When harsh lockdowns kicked in, we both decided we would try and do some more songs like this – it was a way to keep collaborating when you couldn’t even go for a walk outside with someone from another household never mind be in a rehearsal room with someone.”
