Los Angeles-based artist Jeffrey Paradise aka Poolside has officially inked a deal with Ninja Tune/Counter Records, having self-released his previous music. This partnership has manifested into a new single and video by Poolside titled ‘Each Night’ which features the indie pop band Mazy.

Directed by Nathan Castiel, the video takes a trip into the world of virtual reality with lead actress Tessa Binder experiencing an error with her VR machine. She has to then find a scientific expert at the matter, played by Jackie Green, to properly assist with getting her a new VR headset which makes Binder ever so happy.

Regarding the single, Poolside said:

“To me ‘Each Night’ feels fresh, new, exciting and edgy, while also sounding totally familiar. It’s a balancing act I often aim for and feel like it is achieved on this song more harmoniously than I’ve ever managed before. The influences at play feel like an amalgamation of all of the music I’ve listened to, played and internalised over my many years of loving music. It’s like your favourite song you’ve never heard before, with glimmers of so many styles ranging from Shoegaze to Madchester to prog rock to dance to dub all making appearances throughout.”
