Nightmares On Wax:
It is with great pleasure that we welcome the legendary Nightmares On Wax to the next Tuckshop event. The seminal Warp records stalwart of 25 years and De La Soul collaborator, has been cited by many as changing the game forever by mixing hip-hop beats under an experimental, deeply creative flow of ideas tapping and re-wrapping a myriad of established musical styles ranging from soul to emergent house and techno. NOW’s debut Tuckshop show promises to be something truly special!
Brand New Wayo:
Brand New Wayo made power moves in 2014 with Guest mixes on NTS & bringing the likes of Jon Phonics & Al Dobson Jr to the set whilst pushing up front music from new artists alongside classic and obscure records from decades past. Covering breadth in depth, from Dub to Jazz to Hip Hop via UKG, Disco, Afrobeat and the cosmos and will be warming the set to boiling point & ones to watch for 2015.
Russ Ryan:
Born and raised in Bermuda on a diet of Soul and Jazz, teeth cut in Brighton on Hip Hop and Rum and now digging and spinning records from London to the World. 10+ years of digging and collecting records makes Russ a formidable force behind the turntables, having rocked parties alongside the likes of DOOM to Roy Ayers and from Australia to England. Now teamed up with the Tuckshop Crew & making his debut set, expect a soul drenched voyage from Boogie to Bass & beyond.
As usual our residents will be playing assorted bits & pieces to keep you shuffling in to the early hours….
