London trio Night Tapes make their return with their new single ‘Inigo’, the second offering taken from the band’s upcoming EP ‘Perfect Kindness’ out later this year.
An intricate marriage of dream pop and experimental electronica, the blissful production which also features worldly guitar play, acts as a chilled palette for the airy vocals of Estonian singer Iiris Vesik. There is a lovely breakdown towards the end of the track that sounds fantastic. ‘Inigo’ follows Night Tapes’ previous song ‘Selene’, which dropped last month. Have a listen.
Touching on the single, Night Tapes stated:
“‘Inigo’ is about putting up boundaries and developing personal yang power…it’s about those moments in life when you understand that it’s time to move from a comfortable setting and develop a spine through uncomfortable situations. Young beautiful people in general should be treated with caution, because youth is cruel.”
