Nadia Struiwigh’s New Double A-Side Single ‘Circle the Sun / Kairo’ is an Intergalactic Journey

Dutch producer and DJ Nadia Struiwigh has released a new double A-side single titled ‘Circle the Sun / Kairo’. Both songs will be featured on her upcoming LP IKIGAI, landing March 6th.

‘Circle the Sun’ is stomping, spaced-out slice of electronica that is constructed with this militant, marching drum programming that sounds like drum & bass kicks with certain drums removed to give it a more breakbeat sound. Otherworldly synth lines foster trance-like feels, really elevating the cut to higher heights. Meanwhile ‘Kairo’ is a straight journey into the cosmos. Opting for no drums on the song, Struiwigh instead crafts sound design that is something out of a sci-fi film. Both songs will surely take your mind into other dimensions. Check it out.

Regarding ‘Circle the Sun’, Nadia Struiwigh stated:

“Circle The Sun is the light I keep holding on to, because the sun has become my symbol of warmth, energy and feeling alive, and I always return to it when I want to feel that simple truth again. It’s breakbeat-ish, moving, playful in the right way, but still deep, like one of those tracks that carries momentum and spirit at the same time, and for me it represents the part of life that keeps turning, creating, expanding… no matter what. It’s a reminder in sound form that light is not something you wait for, it’s something you turn towards.
