Montreal artist Marie-Hélène L. Delorme better known as FOXTROTT has unveiled her latest EP ‘Meditations I’, the first in a three part series. Released via One Little Indian Records and entirely self-produced, the music was written whilst staying on a retreat in Mexico. Delving into an ambient soundscape of electroncia, the suite is the follow-up to FOXTROTT’s debut album A Taller Us.
Touching on the new work, FOXTROTT mentioned:
“My first album A Taller Us was one of upward growth, a bit like the unrolling of the spine. I started to write songs as a way to cope with anxiety about things I was going through as a young adult. It was emotionally dense, and it turned out to be a very healing process. After that whole cycle of producing, releasing and touring A Taller Us, I found myself at a different, more peaceful place.”
