Producer MJ Cole may be known for his melodic and technically advance UK garage production, but he has also proven over the years that he can create just as hot of a grime tune. Cole has come together with rising grime star AJ Tracey for the thunderous tune ‘The Rumble’. Sparking an anthem for the city of London, Tracey’s witty lyrical delivery is backed by stabbing horns and added effects in between the space of the thumping drums.

Touching on ‘The Rumble’, MJ Cole wrote:

“My feet sensed the rumblings from the Underground and I knew AJ Tracey was coming through. We hooked up in the studio at the start of 2016 and he laid down the idea on Scarface Riddim which I made with him in mind. The Rumble is a slice of London, the energy of now, a fusion of all that is exciting in the UK for us. We’re proud of this record and are excited to release is on the brand new 892 Recordings.”

AJ Tracey added:

“This track is really about where I’m from, my city and trying to capture that in the track. The everyday things I go through as an artist, and as someone living in London.”
