Oxford’s Low Island is the promising band that everyone need to know. With a number of fantastic EPs to their name, not to mention already critically praised by the press, their latest tune ‘In Person’ is another testament as to why this group is quite the amazing one. Upbeat and explosive, ‘In Person’ moves with a funk-based kick, building up to an indie/electronica wonderland that makes you want to dance until your heart is content. This is one unstoppable groove!
Regarding the cut, Low Island’s Jamie Jay said:
“In Person is about sustaining relationships in a digital age. It’s never been easier to feel in constant contact with everyone, when actually you’re slowly drifting apart. This song marks a big turning point for us musically, as we’re committing much more to our love of electronic dance music, so much so that we’ve just spent all our money on synths and other crazy machinery for our live tour in March. This song has also settled a long-standing band argument: is it OK to have a cowbell…yes, always.”
