Having dropped their single ‘Surface’, Belgian post-punk band Whispering Sons now bring forth two more cuts entitled Satantango’ and ‘Surgery’. Both songs are taken from their upcoming album Several Others, out June 18th via PIAS.

Definitely trekking on the dark side of sound, ‘Satantango’ kicks off with a repeated drum kick and whirling bass line before lashing guitar lines whip in among the stark vocals of front woman Fenne Kuppens. A slow build-up, sinister plucks are included giving the tune a haunting feel.

‘Surgery’ is an all-out sonic attack with raging guitar riffs letting off like fired artillery before hammering drums burst in, all tied by Fenne Kuppens’ nocturnal delivery that pulls from a coldwave palette.
