The Physics House Band are seriously not from this planet. Releasing their Horizons/Rapure EP back in 2013, the Brighton-based trio let off a whirlwind of otherwordly psychedelic, prog-rock, cosmic jazz and dark krautrock, whipped into one mind-blowing record that completely blew the doors off the hinges. So after a four year gap, the group returned the studio and, well, simply got even better. ‘Calypso’ finds The Physics House Band unleashing a deeper and quite frankly phenomenal shot of spaced-out pysch. Racing like a Porsche on the motorway, ‘Calypso’ is the epitome of musical excellence roping the sounds of the past, skipping the present and venturing straight into the future. The track is taken from The Physics House Band’s forthcoming mini-album Mercury, out April 21st on Small Pond.
