Listen to Stoner’s Moody Ballad ‘Lacrimosa’

At the beginning of the year rising artist Stoner shared his blissful track ‘The Anteroom’. Making his return, he now steps forth with his latest single ‘Lacrimosa’. A moody yet utterly gorgeous ballad, the song is built on melancholic keys and hollow drum kicks, eventually opening up to lush guitar riffs. There are also traces of the 80s new romantic period sewn in the blueprint of the tune. Top off the production with Stoner’s falsetto vocals and the result is one amazing recording.

In a press statement regarding the track, Stoner wrote:

“‘Lacrimosa’ [meaning ‘weeping’ in Latin] studies the first days of being alive. Where you’re still wet with the otherworld. It’s a song of the first born. First breath, first hour. Newness and nakedness- where existence is struggle and the cry the only command.”
