Listen to Guest Singer’s ‘I Could Never Live Like You Do’

With his upcoming EP I’m Irrelevant Now landing March 22nd, Doncaster’s Jake Cope aka Guest Singer makes his return with the song ‘I Could Never Live Like You Do’. Splashed with an 80s synthpop sound blended with a dose of krautrock, Cope skates on the cut with vocals reminiscent of the ease of David Byrne. I’m Irrelevant Now will get released via the Manchester imprint Heist or Hit.

Touching on the track, Jake Cope stated:

“Heroes are nothing but unreliable narrators created in our own minds. What we idolise in other people is often what we think is missing within ourselves. When you discover these protagonists of perfection are flawed, cruel, or just boring, the let-down of realisation can empty you out. This song is recognition of that.”
