Scotland band Declan Welsh & The Decadent West have unveiled their latest track ‘Another One’. The song is taken from the group’s forthcoming EP, scheduled to land later in the year. The mesmeric cut is a towering indie handing with a pop topping, peppered with captivating melodies. With front man Declan Welsh expressing his thoughts on the forced separation of people due to the roller coaster ride of year, ie the pandemic relation, the tune is an overall fantastic piece of music that is packed with character and poise.
Regarding the single, Declan Welsh mentioned:
“‘Another One’ is a song about being far apart from each other, and specifically about the very strange year we’ve all spent indoors. It’s a wee journey, musically and lyrically, and I think the tune sort of reflects the way different emotions are constantly competing in your head when you have too much time to reflect. It’s about boredom, anxiety, fear, aimlessness, hope and looking forward to seeing other people again.”
