Seattle’s Chastity Belt are scheduled to release their upcoming self-titled album on September 20th via Hardly Art. This marks the return of the group since dropping their 2017 record ‘I Used to Spend So Much Time Alone’.

Having recently shared their single ‘Ann’s Jam’ last month, Chastity Belt now unveil their second single titled ‘Elena’. The track is an easing taste of bedroom pop, with Julia Shapiro and Lydia Lund delivering intertwining vocal melodies over tender guitar lines.

Regarding the single, Chastity Belt bassist Annie Truscott mentioned:

“Over the past year, we all read and loved Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan novels. We individually related to the ways in which the main character’s sense of self is inextricably linked to her desire for love and validation both from lovers and friends. The overlapping voices on top of the whimsical wave-like instrumentals captures the universal feeling of having a conversation with yourself about yourself.”
