Listen to Apostille’s ‘Without Me’

Known for his work with punk bands Anxiety and The Lowest Form, Michael Kasparis will drop his solo album Choose Life under the moniker Apostille on June 8th via Upset The Rhythm. Experimenting with the sounds of electronica and pop, Kasparis shared the lead single titled ‘Feel Bad’ back in March. He now steps up with the second single release ‘Without Me’, a dark melting of post-punk and new wave, with a notch of cold wave filling the in-between. Simultaneously roping an air of nostalgia with a modern sensibility, ‘Without Me’ is an excellent release from the Glasgow artist.

Touching on the track Michael Kasparis stated:

“Do you ever feel like you’re not wanted enough? Through out the whole of Choose Life I was trying to blow up this fictional character, create a vortex of energy with something in the middle that is extreme emotionally but still true to life. I didn’t want to write pure autobiography, but after writing something like “I want everyone to only breathe if I say they can” I got into the Enneagram Personality Test and discovered that that desire, to take on the responsibility for everyone you know and be at the centre of their lives is central to a few personality types… it rang uncomfortably true when it was finished…”
