Listen to Alela Diane’s Tender Track ‘When We Believed’

Portland-based artist Alela Diane has shared her latest single ‘When We Believed’. The song follows her track ‘Paloma’ which landed last month.

‘When We Believed’ is a delicate folk recording that deals with reflection as well as moving beyond the past. The spacious and gorgeous instrumentation of the song is magnificent palette for Alela Diane to shine vocally. The end result is a heartfelt and beautiful offering that is truly warming.

Touching on the song, Alela Diane said:

“‘When We Believed’ is a song of reflection, of letting go, and reckoning with former selves, and expected outcomes. It is a look back at a time in life when I moved and traveled freely, from the perspective of stillness. In this stillness, I can find the joy of a small child, picking a rosebud and leaving the stem behind.”
