South London’s Last Japan has been on our radar for a long while now. As a member of the now generation of grime producers, his tracks manage to still capture a particular style of the dark, sinister and sublow heavy sonics of the “golden days” of the genre. With the release of his new mixtape “Ride With Us”, Last Japan has basically created the soundtrack to late night, gritty London. Appearances on the mixtape include Trim, Rapid, Trusta, Mr. Mitch and more. Limited edition casette tapes were available for purchase which includes a bonus cut that is not featured on the digital download pack. Unfortunately, judging by Last Japan’s Bandcamp page, those are all sold out. You can still however, purchase the digital format of “Ride With Us”, as well as stream it at the bottom.
