With her new album The Collective out March 8th, Kim Gordon shares another single taken from the upcoming record called ‘Psychedelic Orgasm’.

Similar to the LP’s lead single ‘BYE BYE’, ‘Psychedelic Orgasm’ finds Gordon marrying sounds of trap with dark noise rock, and industrial. Weaving in and out between a sort of Southern rap flow, which also includes sporadic uses of auto-tune, and spoken word, musically the results are incredibly interesting. While indeed experimental, there is a cohesion that makes the track as a whole work really well. This should be no surprise given Kim Gordon’s musical history extending all the way back to her days playing with Sonic Youth.
