K.Flay has annouced the release of her forthcoming EP Inside Voices. Slated to land June 11th on BMG, the record features guest appearances by Tom Morello and Travis Barker. Comprised of five tracks in total, sonically K.Flay spans the sounds of alternative, art pop, punk and more.

In a press statement touching on the EP, K.Flay wrote:

“So often we keep everything bottled up. Inside Voices was a way for me to exorcise some demons and safely express these uncomfortable but very human emotions I was feeling.”

K.Flay also also shared her new single and video entitled ‘Four Letter Words’. The creative direction of the vid is handled by Diego Lozano with the visuals featuting K.Flay going through the emotional process of a breakup as animated characters join her throughout the temporary journey.

Regarding ‘Four Letter Words’, K.Flay stated:

“So many of us go through life trying to be polite, and then we reach a breaking point. When we were recording ‘Four Letter Words’ it felt kind of scary to allow myself to go there – but there was liberation in it too.”
