Jess Day Deals with a Toxic Relationship in ‘Rabbit Hole’

Australian artist Jess Day touches on the toxicity of a relationship in her latest single ‘Rabbit Hole’. While the song initially features skippy guitar riffs and straight ahead drumming, the space gets filled with punchier instrumentation as the track builds up. Jess Days reflects on the turbulent dealings, with her vocals straddling between emotional and resilient. The song is a great follow-up to her previous release ‘Why Is She So Beautiful’. We look forward to hearing what the talented singer has in the near future.

Touching on the track, Jess Day said:

“It’s about becoming utterly fed up with being in a turbulent relationship with somebody toxic for you. Feeling trapped – biting your tongue out of fear that standing up for yourself might entice another destructive emotional blow. The fear keeps you silent and stuck, decaying every day until you eventually get so beyond sick of it all and say “Screw you! I’m out”.”
