L.A.-based Helene Alexandra Jaeger, known to the world as Holy Boy, makes her return with a cover of The Doors’ classic song ‘Riders on the Storm’, which was originally featured on their 1971 album ‘L.A. Woman’ and released as the second single of the LP. Slowing down the tempo on her reworked version, Holy Boy gives the song a darker feel as nightly drum programming accompanies haunting keys. What can essentially be described as perfectly fitting for the times we are currently in, you can listen to the cut below.
Touching on the cover, Holy Boy said:
“In these troubled times, I hope that my version of this classic song can be cathartic, to take you on a gentle cosmic flow into a calm and darkly beautiful place.”
