South London singer Fran Lobo has shared her new track ‘War’. Inspired by past dealings with family issues and depression, Lobo’s powerful and soulful vocals ride punchy production of racing electronica, accompanied by gospel-style melodies. ‘War’ will get released October 4th with Lobo performing a show at Corsica Studios in London on November 1st.

Regarding ‘War’, Fran Lobo stated:

“I wanted the production and melody to have a dark, hypnotic and unsettling effect. We fed the bass synth through a shimmer reverb, recording it in real time so it felt like it was constantly shifting and alive. I recorded all the choral vocals myself. There are at least 6 different parts all layered over one another with different reverbs. I am obsessed with choral music and I wanted to use this in the track to give it a haunting feel whilst also showing a strength and power of voices to overcome.”
