Leeds band English Teacher have shared their new video for the moving song ‘Albert Road’. The track is taken from their forthcoming debut album This Could Be Texas, which lands April 12th. The song deals with the mindsets of people gripped by ignorance of other cultures, fostering prejudices.
Directed by Douglas Frost and Sarah Oglesby, the brilliant video finds singer Lily Fontaine walking in a traditional British pub with uncomfortable stares looking at her. She eventually finds herself confronted by some of the patrons of the pub. At the end Fontaine looks at old footage of herself as a child, turning her sadness into a smile. This is an example of the classic saying “you have to laugh to keep from crying”. Have a watch.
