After releasing their incredible single ‘camelot’ back in February, London rockers deep tan return with their latest track ‘hollow scene’. Slowing down the beats per minute, the spacious post-punk deals with one’s navigation in life with a compassionless and void way of operating in order to push forward, believing those lies of justification. With a rubbery bass line and grooving drums, the song is another infectious handing from the East End trio. ‘hollow scene’ is taken from deep tan’s forthcoming EP creeping speedwells, out June 4th.

Touching on the single, deep tan stated:

“‘hollow scene’ is about the feeling of having to move through life with a certain level of detachment in order to function. Gatekeeping empathy for the sake of an easy life, if you will. It’s a pretty draining business, though, and can make any real search for meaning feel futile. Meursault was wrong and he was right. Robert Smith, however, is always right.”
