South London’s DC joins forces with Bawo for his latest single and video ‘Misunderstood’. The track follows his previous cut ‘Maze Hill’, which was released a couple months back.

‘Misunderstood’ musically is a brilliant melodic mesh of grime and UK drill, with DC and Bawo choosing to use the lush sound as a springboard to drop potent and introspective lyrics that are razor sharp. The chorus is really hits home, making this an incredible tune from both the talented artists.

The video itself features both emcees in front of council estates with the overall visuals being really well shot.

Touching on the single, DC stated:

“‘Misunderstood’ is a song that’s about reality vs perception & it’s summed up by the first two lines; Being viewed as anti when there’s a reason behind that (environment). It lends itself to the idea that “all things can be true” and I wanted it to feel upbeat as song’s like this are easy to make sound dark and moody.”
