Dark Horse Records to Release Joe Strummer ‘ASSEMBLY’ Album

George Harrison’s Dark Horse Records imprint will release a collection of Joe Strummer solo records in the form of a new best-of album titled ASSEMBLY. Slated to land March 26th, the LP will get pressed on vinyl and CD, as well as released through digital platforms.

Comprised of 16 tracks, the compilation will include unreleased live versions of Joe Strummer and The Mescaleros performing The Clash’s songs ‘Rudie Can’t Fail’ and ‘I Fought The Law’ at Brixton Academy on November 24, 2001, not to mention an acoustic tune of ‘Junco Partner’.

As the frontman of The Clash and The Mescaleros, Joe Strummer is regarded as one of the most important figures in not only punk but music in general.

Back in August of 2020, Gates of the West & Dark Horse Records paid homage to the music icon with a live stream video called A Song For Joe: Celebrating the Birthday of Joe Strummer. The show featured Josh Homme, Tom Morello, Jim Jarmusch, Bruce Springsteen and loads more.
