2025 has been a big year for Clipse. With their reunion after not releasing an album together in 16 years proven to be victorious, their latest LP Let God Sort Em Out has been on many people’s lips as record of the year. To round out this momentous period, Clipse has released a video for their powerful song ‘The Birds Don’t Sing’. A dedication to the loss of their parents, the Pharrell Williams-produced song features John Legend, as well as Stevie Wonder.

Directed by Brendan O’Connor, the touching visuals feature the Thornton brothers in their childhood home. Beautifully shot, there are also scenes of black men with their children, highlighting the fact that they are heavily present in their kids’ lives despite any myths. The video hits you not only in the heart but in the soul, with Clipse demonstrating that you can transform pain into high art without compromise.
