Copenhagen’s Clean Out Louis has unveiled their new track ‘Hold Me’. The song is taken from their forthcoming debut EP Clean Sheet, out May 23rd.
Quite the unorthodox production, ‘Hold Me’ straddles the line of art pop and obscure funk. There are wild vocal bits that at times give off Parliament vibes. Nevertheless ‘Hold Me’ is free of genre constraints, making it not only super interesting but highly addicting at the same time.
Regarding the song, Clean Out Louis’ Sylvester Zabello said:
“‘Hold Me’ is kind of like a hop-on tourist bus ride through the light and dark layers of the mind. It’s a musical trip past the good and the bad, where you meet yourself, get surprised, and remember things you’d forgotten — even things that mattered more than you realized.”
Clean Out Louis’ Mingus Runge added:
“In our world, boundaries are fluid. We love mixing genres, instruments, and sounds that shouldn’t go together — but somehow do. The EP is every weird and wonderful path we’ve gone down together without knowing where we’d end up. It can be haunting. It can be catchy as hell. And it’s time to set it all free.”
