While it may seem that the Scottish trio CHVRCHES have been fairly quiet over the past few years, the reality is that they actually haven’t. Singer Lauren Mayberry released her 2024 solo album Vicious Creature, not to mention the group dropping a tenth anniversary release of their 2015 LP Every Open Eye, back in 2025. Last year there were also talks of CHVRCHES working on new material. Well that has now come to fruition with the outfit back in 2026 with a new track titled ‘Roses’.

An overt critique of the current societal state, Chvrches shine a light on the people in power who keep referring to the days of old as the better times despite the suffering of the masses, as well as capitalism, and general fear. A needed song during the times, you can check out ‘Roses’ below.
