London artist Ruby Francis makes her return with a new track titled ‘Lanzarote’. The song is taken from her upcoming EP Pages of Philosophy, landing this year.
‘Lanzarote’ is an upbeat, spacey soul handing that touches on the act of rediscovering self during a time where life feels extremely scattered due to heartbreak. The track is produced by Ruby Francis herself and co-written with Laura Roy.
Along with the tune, Ruby Francis has also shared an accompanying video which you can stream below.
Regarding ‘Lanzarote’, Ruby Francis stated:
“‘Lanzarote’ was written on a trip to the picturesque volcanic island, she explains: “I took a girls’ trip to rest, reflect and write. It was a really healing trip where many of the songs from the project were written. During this time, I was feeling lost, with grief in my tummy, but in a beautiful place with amazing women by my side. Writing Lanzarote with Laura Roy, we explored that bittersweetness of heartache and healing, the feeling of lost-ness and self-discovery.”
