After releasing a slew of singles throughout the year, Dublin group Cable Boy have released their debut album Forever.
Whilst carrying the self-proclaimed title of a ‘Goth-Disco’ band, Cable Boy stretch far beyond the limits of two genres. The new record finds them venturing into shoegaze, alternative, post-punk, and even dark pop. With Adam Shanahan, David Tapley, and Cable Boy themselves on the production front, the 13-track release is a moody, atmospheric, and very seasoned handing.
Regarding the album, Cable Boy’s Semilore Olusa stated:
“The intention behind calling the album ‘Forever’ was to create something from the soul that feels like it’ll stand the test of time.
We wanted to make something that sounded like a Time Capsule filled with all inspiration, like events and feelings we experienced so far in our time as a band. I think we succeeded in making something for ourselves as well as other people in our community.”
