Portland trio Blackwater Holylight are schedule to release their upcoming album Not Here Not Gone on January 30th via one our fave labels Suicide Squeeze. Having already shared their previous single ‘Heavy, Why?’ towards the end of 2025, the band now step up with their new track titled ‘Fade’.

What initially launches with subtle dream pop production, is eventually met with Blackwater Holylight’s hard rock magic, giving the song a pumped edge. Touching on the after effects of a relationship to has come to a close, ‘Fade’ delivers a tenderness as well as rage, musically tapping into specific emotions.

Regarding the single,

“‘Fade’ is a song that is a true stamp in time. It was written during a time of deep confusion and loneliness and is an ode to the big and deep waves of emotion we all experience when our relationships come to an end, they shift or they express something unexpected within it. The sample at the end of this song was taken in our neighborhood in Los Angeles and is an ode to our neighbors and this city that we love.”
