Representing everything great about post-punk, noise and more, Bird Shoes, comprised of Robin Clark and James Gordelier are not only musically creating some of the most core sounds of the sub-genres, but are having a fun time doing so. Striking the match with their song ‘Lads’ earlier this year, they have continued to leave their firm imprints in the scene with their exciting live shows around the UK.
Bird Shoes now unveil their latest single and video ‘Door’. Directed by Gian Calipa and filmed in the New Forest, the duo continue their cheeky slice of artistry with the two dressed as clowns in some clips whilst seemingly a raging nationalism is poked at in other scenes, which include a woman waiving a flag of England behind Clark. Combining social commentary with brilliant and exciting post-punk instrumentation, this is yet another remarkable release from the rising band. We have a premiere of ‘Door’, which you can watch below.
