Back in May of this year London-based band Between Suns released their song ‘something big has happened now’. The cinematic elements to the cut made it more like a front runner to the opening song of a James Bond movie. The outfit have now returned with their latest single ‘My Kinda Devil’.

‘My Kinda Devil’ is another mountainous offering that features explosive and theatrical production that is so captivating that you almost wish the band added an extra minute to the already 4 minute release. Front woman Nausicaä’s vocal work is phenomenal, with the overall single being yet another one that could easily find placement on a major motion film. ‘My Kinda Devil’ is produced by Nick Tauber.

Touching on the track, Between Suns stated:

“My Kinda Devil is loosely inspired by a Michael Moorcock book called “the war hound and the world’s pain”, recounting the story of mercenary Ulrich Von Beck who strikes a bargain with Lucifer during the Thirty Years’ War to find the Holy Grail, in exchange for his soul.

The song was written around the intro bass line, and evolved into a “short story” and a bit of a journey. Was the second song recorded at Livingston studios with Nick Tauber (long time supporter and collaborator of the band). This song, like most of the upcoming album, was written during lockdown.”
