Hailing from Melbourne, the artist who records under the moniker of BEL, is bringing a distinct passion of artistry that is evident in her debut single ‘Meloncholia’. Emotional in production, there is a streaking ray of beauty that pierces through the dark pop piece, spearheaded by BEL’s magnetic vocals. This is a magnificent entry for the 20-year old singer. The song is taken from her forthcoming six-song EP which boasts the same title.

Speaking on ‘Melancholia’, BEL wrote:

“Melancholia provides an introspective depiction of what it’s like to be inside my head. Lyrically, it’s rich in raw emotion and personal truth. Our minds can make us think and feel all sorts of interesting and strange things, but it’s how we consolidate these sentiments that defines us as people. The word Melancholia by definition encompasses sadness in a peaceful and accepting way. In essence, this song is about accepting the way you feel and not fighting it, but bathing in it for what it is.”
