Like with any change of sound from a band, there will be a divide of past fans. You can surely hear the specks of LCD Soundsystem from the James Murphy produced “Reflektor” for Arcade Fire. There is also the David Bowie influence embedded in the track. While the song is wonderfully produced and arranged, there can’t be an escape of wonder whether the Daft Punk wave of success has spawned bands to now want to ride down the lane of disco. Regardless, the tune is pretty enjoyable.

Arcade Fire has now fully unveiled the official video for “Reflektor”. The clever Anton Corbijn directed clip is shot in black and white, while depicting the band to be wearing masks and driving to a location to experience the power of the almighty disco ball.
