From the days of uploading the comical grime song “One Day I Went To Lidl”, a tale about shoplifting in the supermarket to performing tours with M.I.A, Afrikan Boy has come a long way. In fact, since releasing his album The ABCD, he has not only garnished play from the likes of Toddla T, Zane Lowe, DJ Target and more, but now the London-based artist has received a nomination for ‘Best African Act’ at The MOBO Awards. Taking place Oct. 22nd, The MOBO Awards will be held at the SSE Arena in Wembley. Afrikan Boy’s The ABCD is currently out now on Yam Records.
