With UK producer Darren Cunningham aka Actress mixing the new DJ Kicks compilation, he has shared an unreleased song called “Bird Matrix”, which is exclusive to the forthcoming LP. The song was originally recorded after the completion of Actress’ last album Ghettoville, in which he was experimenting with various equipment in his personal studio. The result is this hazy, techno-inspired composition which is on the dark side, not to mention something that fairs well in the night. DJ Kicks: Actress is out May 5th on !K7 Records. Have a listen.
