If it’s one thing that Creative Director Alessandro Michele is a master of, is bridging together reality and fantasy, telling a story through clothing, operating in a space of surrealism. With Valentino’s Haute Couture 2026 runway show, rather than one long stage, Michele created a setting where multiple cylinder structures acted as room for each individual showing where surrounding windows let the attendees look on in almost a voyeuristic manner.
The new women’s collection indeed takes the idea of a dream world where goddesses reign supreme, elegant and confident. The models throughout the show weren’t simply walking mannequins, rather representatives of power, beauty, and passion. Alessandro Michele indeed went beyond trying to create attire for the normal, everyday use, but opted for using the collection as displays of art. This is indeed what fashion has been lacking. Thank you Alessandro.
