With French artist Jehnny Beth gearing up to release her new album You Heartbreaker, You, sonically it will be really interesting to see where she goes. Having cut her teeth with the punk band Savages, then experimenting with electroncia, industrial, as well as alt pop with her debut solo To Love Is to Live back in 2020, it seems Jehnny Beth is now diving head first into noise rock, especially with her latest track ‘High Resolution Sadness’. Along with the song, she has also shared an official video.

Directed by Jehnny Beth herself and partner musician/photographer Johnny Hostile, the visuals feature three duplicate clips of the singer doing extreme things like eating mobile phones, getting a plastic bag placed over her face, and more. The scenes tend to play into the reality of the cage that many have found themselves in when it comes to this current digital age. The intensity of the sound creates a sense of urgency, once again coinciding perfectly with the video and overall theme. Check it out.
