Italian pair Massimo Braghieri and Gianluca Pighi, better known as Oh! have connected with London’s Alexander Price for their debut single on Iptamenos Discos titled ‘Alien’.

Harking back to the sounds of late 70s post-punk, early 80s new wave, synth-pop, as well as synth wave firmly implanted in the production, musically ‘Alien’ feels like a delicious blend of Devo and Kraftwerk. With Alexander Price’s in your face delivery taking it over the top of the mountain, the tune is not only a nostalgic delight, but also quite the breath of fresh air for those looking for something that soundtracks an underground movement.

“With ‘Alien’, we wanted to recapture the raw energy of post-punk and new wave—stripping away polish in favor of grit. Avoiding DAWs, we recorded live bass, drums, and guitars, using only analog synths and sequencers for an authentic, unfiltered sound—while adding a modern edge.” – Oh!
