Today Tyler, The Creator has released his seventh album Chromakopia via Columbia. Produced by Tyler himself, the record follows his 2021 LP Call Me If You Get Lost.
Tyler released a number of single videos in lead up to the album, some cut short in length, operating more a teasers. With 14 songs in total, the album includes features by Lil Wayne, Schoolboy Q, Doechii, Childish Gambino, GloRilla, Sexyy Red, Teezo Touchdown, and Daniel Ceasar. The worldly production appears to fall in line with Tyler’s continuous experiences and influences from his travels around the globe. Aside from the Hip-Hop aspect of the record, Chromakopia also contains R&B leanings, a love that Tyler has been vocal about over the years. Themes such as truth, ageism, introspection, and more run throughout the LP.
Specifically dropped on a Monday, Chromakopia also serves as a rebellion of sorts to the typical industry release day of Friday.
