London band ISQ are set to release their upcoming album Requiem For the Faithful 2.0: The Remixes on May 21st via CP Records. The record features reworks by Wolf & I, Urchin, Dave Gale and more.

One of the remixes taken from the forthcoming LP is this amazing version of ‘Ode To Myself’ by none other than legendary producer, DJ and label boss Arthur Baker. Like the quality that one would come to expect from Baker, the tune is a soulful house rework stacked with illustrious keys, synth stabs, a pulsing bass line, percussion, chimes and the whole nine. Like the traditions of Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Louie Vega, Kenny Dope and more, this the house music embodying grand feats, provoking that an istant feeling of that first love of the genre and sound.

Touching on the remix, Arthur Baker mentioned:

“Irene has been a friend for years and we finally got a chance to collaborate. I was inspired by her voice, the melody and by the bands playing, which I used in the remix. I love cutting and pasting and the track provided me with plenty of ammunition and inspiration.”
