Berlin-based band People Club represents that brilliant bridge of tradional and new, digital and analog, fostering a sound that is steeped in classic soul as much as it is modern pop. Having dropped their husky single ‘Lay Down Your Weapons’ a few months back, the group return with a new single and video entitled ‘Francine’. Directed by the band themselves and filmed by Felix Spitta, the visuals find lead vocalist Sarah Martin being chased by chased by a man in a balaclava mask, with the two often times running in place – a metaphorical representation of running from the self.
