New Zealand-born, now London-based artist October and The Eyes is scheduled to release her forthcoming EP Dogs and Gods on November 20th via KRO Records. Touching on topics ranging from love to infidelity, the record is comprised of six tracks, with the tunes ‘All My Love’ and ‘Playing God’ having been shared back in October.
October and The Eyes has also shared her new track entitled ‘Dark Dog’. The very first cut written for the EP, the song explores paranoia with the music production encompassing dark aspects of post-punk, industrial and punchy electronica.
Coinciding with the single release, October and The Eyes has also unveiled an accompanying Lawrence Onus-directed video which you can check out below.
In a press statement regarding the single, October and The Eyes wrote:
“It’s about the uneasy feeling of being watched, that at any moment something bad could happen. There’s an anecdotal malformed dog who’s always near – limping, snarling, growling and drooling. It’s one you feel equally sorry for as you do fear it. You cannot outrun this dark dog, so you decide to make peace.”
