Berlin artist Novaa steps up with the official video to her track ‘The Futurist’. With the singer filmed among a nature-filled setting, multiple clips depict Novaa taking off multiple layers of clothing, which is metaphorical for the stripping away of society’s inflicted ideas. The song itself is the title cut to her forthcoming LP landing this month.
Touching on the video, Novaa mentioned:
“I wanted the music video for The Futurist to be very raw and simple but also translate the message of the song in a subtle kind of way. So I came up with the idea of wearing layers of sweaters that I take off. They represent the ideas and beliefs that society often tries to pressure onto us. We were a very small team of 5 people; Sven was filming, my dear friend and roomy Kiara was doing the make up and styling, dear Paula and Ana were assisting and helping me with the organising. This shoot was lots of fun and I hope that people also have fun watching it. There are so many things that need to change, that we have to change, and fighting for that change can be tiring and exhausting sometimes. So with The Futurist I wanted to write a song that portrays joy and the positive feel when fighting for change. I hope the video represents that mood as well and makes you feel good in your rebel nature.”
